Meet the Artist

Jade Blakeley is a Suffolk-based artist, originally from the New Forest, whose passion for drawing started the moment she could hold a pencil (yes, it’s a cliché—but a true one!).

Whether she's out on long countryside walks, imagining the secret lives of woodland creatures, or working in her studio, storytelling is at the heart of her art. A member of the UK Coloured Pencil Society (UKCPS).

A World of Inspiration

Jade grew up immersed in the enchanting worlds of Wind in the Willows, Blackberry Farm, and the Little Grey Rabbit books, where talking animals and rich landscapes sparked her imagination.

She draws inspiration from classic illustrators such as E. H. Shepard, F. Stocks May, and Margaret Tempest, weaving a sense of nostalgia and warmth into her own work.

Whether it's a cosy woodland scene or a touch of fantasy, she loves creating illustrations that feel like stepping into a storybook adventure.

Two Styles, One Heart

Jade’s work is a tale of two styles—whimsical illustrations for greeting cards and detailed realism in fine art graphite and coloured pencil drawings.

Loving both far too much to choose just one, she embraced her dual artistic voice, staying true to her passion for storytelling and fine detail.

Whether it’s a charming countryside critter or a finely rendered study of nature, each piece is crafted with care, heart, and a little bit of magic.
